‘Wake up now’ – Primate Ayodele sends strong warning to President Tinubu

Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has issued a wake-up call to President Bola Tinubu, highlighting the acute suffering experienced by Nigerians amidst the current economic hardships.

In a statement delivered in Lagos yesterday, Primate Ayodele implored Tinubu to take decisive action by establishing subsidized food markets nationwide to alleviate the burdens faced by citizens. He emphasized the urgent need for a committee to oversee this initiative, ensuring accountability and effective implementation.

According to Ayodele, “President Tinubu should heed this call, as the widespread hardship demands immediate attention. By establishing markets where essential food items are offered at reduced prices, the government can significantly alleviate the suffering of its people.”

He further emphasized the importance of proactive measures, stating, “We had previously warned of the challenges facing the economy, and it is imperative that the government takes proactive steps to address these issues. Failure to do so may result in further escalation of prices, particularly in essentials like flour.”
