Deji Adeyanju, Convener, Concerned Nigerians, has frowned at the nomination of ex-service chiefs as ambassadors.
Recall that Deji and his group had few days ago dragged Turkur Buratai to the ICC for alleged war crimes.
However, the presidency in bid to save them from probe, forwarded their names to the senate for confirmation as ambassadors.
When confirmed, they would not be arrested or probed, at least for now.
Reacting, Deji in a tweet said the move will fail in the long run.
He tweeted, “Buhari is doing everything possible to ensure Buratai doesn’t go to ICC. By conferring on him diplomatic immunity, he seeks to shield him from the consequences of his action but this will fail in the long run.”
