#NigeriaDecides: War in Suswam’s village as gunmen set INEC office ablaze in Benue

Pandemonium broke out on Sunday in Ugba town of Logo local government area of Benue State when gunmen believed to be hired thugs stormed the area, burning the Independent National electoral Commission (INEC) office in the area.
Ugba is the headquarters of Logo LGA which is the home of Governor Gabriel Suswam.

The place has both supporters of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC).
LEADERSHIP gathered that the incident which occurred at about 8.45 pm today happened after supporters of the rival political parties clashed.

Eyewitnesses said the entire Ugba town became rowdy as people were scampering for safety, with sporadic gunshots which resulted to injury of several persons.
It was learnt that the armed men who unleashed the terror were dressed in military uniform. 

However, the police public relations officer, ASP Ezeani Ameachi confirmed the incident and said policemen had been deployed to the affected area to maintain peace.
