Patrice Evra, a Manchester United icon, paid a visit to Oshodi in Lagos State on Saturday.
The former Red Devils defender paid a visit to Oshodi as part of founder Tunde Onakoya’s Chess in Slums campaign.
Onakoya announced on Twitter on Thursday that a Manchester United icon would be visiting the Oshodi underbridge to play chess with underprivileged children.
He challenged his fans to guess who the Manchester United legend was.
“A Manchester United legend/former captain and a UEFA Champions League winner will be coming to our academy at Oshodi underbridge to play chess against some of the students in our program,” he wrote.
“Are you able to figure out who it is?”
There were many guesses until Evra announced on Friday that he would storm Lagos State, he wrote, “Breaking news! Evra bus stop will stop in Nigeria for the first time ever.”
Evra in a video posted on his Twitter handle was seen playing chess with some of the kids in the Oshodi underbridge.
