Despite the harvest of deaths in Benue State, Governor Samuel Ortom has claimed that his government has succeeded in chasing away criminals from the state.
The governor, whose amnesty programme is believed to have failed woefully, in an interview with newsmen on Tuesday said despite chasing away those criminals from the state, he will still go after them wherever they run to.
His words, “I want to see my people into massive commercial activities; I want to see my people into tourism; I want to see my people into agriculture; I want to see my people into ventures that can help our economy to grow. But all these can only thrive in a state of security. I want to assure you that criminals have lost the battle. There is no room for them in Benue State. We will pursue them to wherever they run”
