By Oche Jesse

During the stakeholders’ meeting with the Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo at Benue People’s House Makurdi, elder statesmen, Gen Lawrence Onoja and Prof Jerry Agada poured out their hearts on the endless killings in the state.

Gen. Lawrence Onoja said, “Benue State value three things, Education, Agriculture and Military. Most of these things were affected due to the lingering Fulani crisis in Benue state. There should be a reconstruction commission. Federal government should work the talk, let the reconstruction begins immediately.

On his part, Prof Jerry Anthony Agada added his voice thus, “Most speakers have spoken all that I would have love to talk about, but I will not just sit without adding one. Your Excellency sir, Benue has no federal college of Education, no Federal Polytechnic, we appeal that atleas one of the colleges of education be converted to Federal college of education, in a similar vein too, one of the Polytechnics be converted to Federal polytechnic.”
