What Osinbajo told Buhari on phone before sacking DSS boss, Daura

Fresh facts have emerged over the removal of Lawal Daura, the Director-General, Department of Security Service, DSS.

IDOMA VOICE reports that Acting President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo had terminated the appointment of Daura on Tuesday and ordered him to hand over to the most senior person in the security agency.

However, a source privy to the development informed IDOMA VOICE that Osinbajo reached out to Buhari, who is currently in London on Tuesday at about 10:30am to brief him about the invasion of security officials at the national assembly on Tuesday without his notice.

“He called Baba (Buhari) around 10:30am about Daura’s action and the President asked him to ‘do the needful.’

“Before now, Daura was penned down for disengagement from duty but has action today facilitated his removal,” a source said.
