Osun State Governor-Elect, Ademola Adeleke has promised Osun people of good governance in his administration.
The Independent National Electoral Commission on Sunday morning declared Adeleke the Governor-Elect of Osun State after scoring a majority of votes cast in the governorship election in the state.
Adeleke polled 403,371 votes to defeat his closest rival, the incumbent governor of the state, Gboyega Oyetola, who polled 375,027 votes.
Speaking with newsmen shortly after the final result was announced, Adeleke promised great things.
The Governor-Elect recalled how he won in 2018 but was robbed by the APC but promised to come back and reclaimed his stolen mandate.
He said, “Osun State, I love you. In 2018, you supported me and I won (but was denied). 2022 support is overwhelming and I will not disappoint them.
“The people of Osun should expect great things to come.
This government is for the grassroots. Never again will Osun go back.
“I know a lot of people are expecting me to do things and I am promising them again that I will disappoint them.”
