Why Dunamis builds roads, offers scholarships, embarks on empowerment programmes  –  Dr. Becky Enenche

Dr. Becky Enenche, wife of the Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre has explained why the ministry always embarks on humanitarian services and empowerment programmes.

Dunamis has been in the news for always reaching out to people and erecting monumental project for public interest.

IDOMA VOICE observed that the church has been reaching out to the needy and the public since its inception over 23 years ago.

Donation of relief materials in Plateau

At about 10 years ago, the ministry opened up and upgraded a rural road of at about 17 km road length in Benue State.

The church also built classroom blocks and renovated several schools in Benue State.

Similarly, the church came to the rescue of a community in Abuja, which had never had pipe-borne water for about 200 years.

During the heat of the Fulani herdsmen attack in Benue State, the church also donated trailer loads of relief materials to IDPs in Agatu and Daudu.

Such gesture was extended to IDPs in Abuja and Lokoja during the flooding, which rendered several persons homeless some years back.

Amazingly, every month, the church gives out empowerment/welfare outreach materials to many people; such as industrial ovens, sewing machines, wrappers in large quantities as well as food items.

Speaking on Monday at the commissioning of the District Estate road and installation of CCTV in 32 classrooms of government secondary school, Kubwa, Abuja, the church is always passionate about reaching  out to the people.

Dr. Mrs. Enenche recalled how the church opened up roads in Benue, built and renovated schools in Benue other parts of the country, donated relief materials to IDPs and lately, the construction of the Mararaba/Nyanya boundary road.

She said, “This is just one of very many projects we have been executing over the years. I recmmebr ten years ago, some part Dagba/Durumi District dual carriageway was constructed with streetlights and empowering the whole of that community with over two transformers.

“We also took pipe borne water straight from the water board to that community about 15 to 20 years back.

“Not just in Abuja, also in Benue State, roads have been opened up for communities. I remember that a whole market, that had been left redundant and we had that road opened up, it was about 17 km, amidst other things.

“Just June last year to mark the Senior Pastor’s birthday, we went to a community, here in Abuja, we after Kuje where they had never had portable water for 200 years.

“We saw the water they had been drinking. Very muddy. In fact, in the community, we saw people with river blindness, old people were blind from schistosomiasis and other water borne diseases.

“We remember few years ago where there was flood in Lokoja, we took trailer load of relief materials to the people. The same thing in Makurdi, Plateau and many others.

“The senior pastor is passionate about what people go through and how we can help. Like he (Dr. Paul Enenche) would say, this is what Christianity is all about.”
