Why I left Nigeria for UK – Tacha

Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Natacha Anita Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has opened up about her decision to relocate abroad.

IDOMA VOICE reports that Tacha recently moved from Nigeria to the United Kingdom.

In a conversation with British media personality Madame Joyce, Tacha explained that she decided to relocate to the UK because she feels she has “conquered” the Nigerian market.

Tacha stated, “I relocated to the UK because I have conquered the whole of the Nigerian market. Moving to the UK doesn’t mean I’m done with Nigerian deals. If the offer is right, why not?”

She went on to express her frustration with the influencing scene in Nigeria, saying, “The influencing industry in Nigeria looks great on the surface, but behind the scenes, it’s not as glamorous as it seems. The money is poor. Someone might offer you N6 million (around $3,000) to influence for six months and post just two videos a month.”

Tacha reflected on the situation, saying, “The fee was the same when I left Big Brother Naija in 2019, but it made sense back then. At least you could book a plane ticket with it. But now, $3,000 is nothing. N6 million may seem like a lot, but when you convert it to dollars, travel abroad, and spend money to maintain a good image, there’s hardly anything left.”
