Why I posted Junior Pope’s corpse online – Amilo

Veteran Nollywood actor, Jerry Amilo, has tendered an apology to fans who were understandably shocked by his recent social media post, where he shared a video of his late colleague, Junior Pope.

Jerry Amilo had shared the distressing sight of Junior Pope’s lifeless body lying in the hospital.

This action, however, did not resonate well with fans who rightly criticized him for its insensitivity.

Reflecting on the aftermath of his post, Amilo clarified, “It was never my intention to share the video for clout.”

In a sincere attempt to address the concerns and hurt caused, Amilo extended his apologies to those who were affected by the video.

Pope died on Wednesday, alongside three others, following a boat capsizing incident on the Anam River in Anambra State.

The group was returning from a film location when the unfortunate accident occurred.
