Brazil forward, Willian, has revealed why he terminated his contract with Corinthians.
Willian disclosed that he dumped Corinthians after receiving death threats.
The 34-year-old returned to his local club last summer after leaving Arsenal.
However, his time at the club has not been smooth sailing and his contract was terminated on Friday.
Willian is now set to return to the Premier League to sign for Fulham.
“I did not come to Brazil to get threatened.
“Whenever Corinthians lost and if sometimes I was not doing well in the game, my family received threats, and curses on social media.
“My wife, my daughters, after a while (they) also started attacking my father, and my sister,” Willian told reporters for the Globo Esporte.
