Why I want to govern Benue – Abounu

The Deputy Governor of Benue State, Engr. Benson Abounu is not leaving any stone unturned in his quest to clinch his party’s ticket in next month’s primary election, as he took his campaign to the special delegates from Otukpo and Ohimini.

The host Chairman, the Execute Chairman of Otukpo Local Government Council, welcomed all the delegates and other party faithfuls, including members of the Deputy Governor’s entourage.

He called for unity of purpose in their collective desires to see Abounu emerge as the next Governor of Benue State.

The Chairman of Abounu Campaign Council, Former Speaker, Pro Tempore, Rt. Hon. Terngu Stegba, said they are in Otukpo because they believe that the people of Otukpo/Ohimini can make significant contributions to Abounu’s success. He maintained that the choice of Abounu is one that is predicted on Abounu’s proven competence, intelligence and experience.

Abounu, who met with the delegates at the Golden Palm Hotel, Otukpo, assured them he has all it takes to win the Governorship race.

He said his confidence was hinged on the rousing endorsement and welcome he continues to receive from the leaders and people of Zone A and Zone B, since he began his consultation.

Abounu also appealed to the delegates to ensure that they do all that is within their powers to ensure that their names enter the history books of Benue state by making the dream of the people of Zone C to produce the next Governor of Benue state a glorious reality.
Those who spoke on behalf of Otukpo and Ohimini extholled Abounu’s virtues and pleaded their unalloyed support for the candidature of Engr. Benson Abounu.

The occasion witnessed a large turnout of enthusiastic crowd from Otukpo and Ohimini. participants at the occasion include the Chairmen of Otukpo Ohimini. Rt. Hon. George Alli, Chairman, Otukpo Local Government Council; Hon.(Mrs) Amina Audu, Chairman of OK po kW u Local Government Council and Hon. (Mrs) Faith Agbo, ably represented by the Chief of staff, Hon. Isaac Ochekliye: Member Representing Otukpo/Akpa at the BSHA, Hon. Baba Odeh; Member Representing Adoka/Ugboju, BSHA, Hon. Mike Audu; Member Representing Okpokwu at the BSHA, Hon. Andrew Agom; Vice Chairman of Otukpo Local Government, Hon. Bako Ejeh and members of Otukpo Executive Council. Leader of Otukpo Legislative Assembly and Councilor Representing Akpa Otobi Ward, Hon. Enokela Alegwu and Councilors.

Others are: Benue South Senatorial aspirant, Hon. Joseph Ojobo; Otukpo/Ohimini House of Representatives hopefuls: Hon.
