why I won’t manage another club soon – John Terry

Chelsea legend John Terry, earned the nickname Mr Chelsea, after spending 19 years at the club.

Terry hung up his boots four years ago, after playing one season with Aston Villa. He then held an assistant manager post at Aston Villa up until his summer 2021 exit.

John Terry was keen on management afterwards, but is now back at Chelsea working with the youngsters, and has claimed that he has no interest in managing another club soon.

In an Instagram Q&A, Terry has revealed he turned down three manager jobs last year, and was also rejected for a further two.

Terry said on an immediate future in management: “Unfortunately no.

“When I left Villa, that was the aim. [But] I won’t be managing or coaching in the [near] future.”

The Chelsea legend went on: “I turned down three jobs last year and interviewed for two more, which I didn’t get.

“It’s a personal decision that I have come to. I have my role at Chelsea that I love and my family time, which means everything to me.

“And I get time to enjoy myself.”
