Former Finest Girl in Benue, Paulyn Nath Agbo, has revealed why her 2016 engagement to Nigerian footballer, Balogun failed.
In October 2016, the ex-beauty queen took to her Facebook wall to announce that she was engaged to a footballer following a prophecy by a Nasarawa-based cleric, Apostle Theo Ebonyi.
Miss Agbo wrote, “I said yes..# short of words ..didn’t see it coming. …took me shopping. Made his friend come with us…didn’t know he’ll be the photographer….Lol…#airlcalling Mrs. Balogun loading..”
Four years ago, her friends and social media followers have been asking when is the wedding holding.
The Heart2Heart founder has now said the engagement has crashed like a pack of cards in a video posted on her YouTube page.
She claimed that the reason for the crash of the relationship was that she was never in love with the young footballer, saying, “I wanted to go into marriage because most of my friends were just getting married at then.”
She hoped to meet a man with prospect someday and give him her heart, but for now, Balogun is not the right man.
Her words, “We met and dated for a while, got engaged and plan for marriage started. Everything was just happening so fast. As at that 2016, it was all about my friends getting married, it was trending, so I wanted to join the trend. I was not physically ready for it. And then, the kind of man I wanted to marry was not seen in that person. I wouldn’t want to marry tomorrow and begin to cheat. I was in 300 level in the university then. So I decided to walk away. Not that he offended me.
“I didn’t see myself lasting in the marriage. The love was actually one-sided. The truth is, the love wasn’t there, it was just a trend then and I wanted to join.”
