Why my children will never call me Daddy – Idoma-born Super Eagles star, Moses Simon

Nigerian International, Moses Simon has clarified that Daddy which many thought was a nickname is his real name.

He said the name was given to him by his Father (an ex soldier).

“My Father gave me the name, it’s actually Daddy-ne (My Daddy in Idoma language) but my siblings shortened it to simply Daddy.”

Speaking on the SuperSport Saturday morning magazine football show, Naija Made, Simon said: “My Children cannot call me Daddy because it will be like calling me by my name”

By what name then will his children call him he was asked: “They’ll call me Papa”

Simon and his wife, Ibukun have a 2-year old daughter
