Law Lee, an associate of controversial singer Naira Marley, has made derogatory remarks about the late singer Mohbad, also known as Ilerioluwa Aloba.
Mohbad passed away at the age of 27 on September 12, 2023, and the circumstances surrounding his death stirred controversies on social media.
In an Instagram post on Friday, Law Lee expressed his growing animosity towards Mohbad.
His statement follows a social media confrontation between Portable and Zinoleesky, where Portable criticized Zinoleesky for owning a Ferrari despite not having a hit song.
Law Lee suggested that the dislike for Mohbad has intensified even after his demise. He attributed this sentiment to Mohbad’s alleged negative comments about fellow artist Zinoleesky, which sparked a public altercation on social media initiated by the controversial artist Portable.
He implied that Portable’s actions were a reaction to Mohbad’s disparaging remarks about Zinoleesky, insinuating that if Mohbad hadn’t made such comments, Portable wouldn’t have responded in that manner.
Law Lee wrote, “Every day my hatred for Mohbad keeps increasing even after his death… If not for all those negative comments about Zinoleesky, why would Portable dare to publicly criticize him? Fool.”
Mohbad, formerly signed to Marlian Music owned by Naira Marley, parted ways with the label in February 2022.
Following Mohbad’s death, the Lagos State Police Command initiated a 13-man special investigation team on September 18, 2023, to probe the circumstances surrounding his demise.
The investigation into Mohbad’s passing also led to the arrest of Naira Marley and controversial Lagos socialite Balogun Eletu, also known as Sam Larry, among others. Prior to their arrest, Naira Marley and Sam Larry had faced criticism for their alleged mistreatment of Mohbad before his untimely death.
