Chinedu Ikedieze, well-known as Aki, has shared his insights on why many individuals “erroneously believed we were twins” alongside Osita Iheme due to their remarkable on-screen rapport.
Despite their shared height and mischievous portrayals in movies, the 45-year-old actor emphasized that they possess distinctive qualities setting them apart from each other. In a recent conversation with Naija Mouth-Piece, Ikedieze shed light on this matter.
He conveyed, “Whenever people wished to catch a glimpse of either one of us [myself and Osita Iheme], they invariably preferred to see us together, fueled by the notion that the mischievousness depicted in our films seamlessly extended to real life.”
He further elaborated, “Nonetheless, this never confined me, for I am unmistakably Chinedu Ikedieze, while he is unmistakably Osita Iheme. Despite our close collaboration, there are certain inherent traits that subtly differentiate me from him, and vice versa, in various aspects.”
Ikedieze continued, “However, when it pertains to our cinematic endeavors, the audience anticipates our joint presence… There were instances when I attended events, and our enthusiasts would inquire, ‘Where is your partner? Why did he not accompany you?'”
“Owing to our compelling chemistry in movies, the public misconstrued us as twins, leading them to doubt the plausibility of our distinct lives. The prevalent belief remained that encountering one of us invariably meant encountering the other,” he concluded.
