Why we re-introduced Peace Corps of Nigeria bill – Management

The Management of the Peace Corps of Nigeria (PCN) has revealed why the security agency bill at the National Assembly was re-introduced.

Below is the excerpt of the Press Release issued on Sunday 7th July, 2019.

*RE-INTRODUCTION OF PEACE CORP BILL, A MOVE TO ADDRESS INSECURITY AND GROWING UNEMPLOYMENT RATE; APPEAL FOR UNCONDITIONAL PRESIDENTIAL ASCENT.*

Intellectual Patriotic Youth Network IPYN-IRG sincerely commend the Re – Introduction of Peace Corp Bill by Federal House of Representatives in the 9th Assembly, it’s an evidence of commitment of the 2 chambers of National Assembly under The President of the Senate Sen Ahmed Lawan and Speaker House of Representatives, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila respectively to address prominent issues that boarder on youth development and National Security.

it’s indeed considered as best move at this material time to address the growing insecurity across the country which are resultant effect of unemployment and idleness among Energetic Nigerians (Youth).

We are certain that if this bill secure the necessary attention of both chambers of the National Assembly, in two months, the bill should be transmitted to President for ascent. We equally implore all stakeholders to give the bill necessary support this time around to address our collective challenges of insecurity, unemployment and Prevailing Poverty level in Nigeria aswell compliment President Muhammedu Buhari mission to Uplift 1 Million Nigerians from poverty level as declared in his INAUGURAL SPEECH.

This bill when passed and signed into law will definitely engage more than 100,000 Nigeria youths directly or indirectly. As officer of the corps will also establish their family in trade and other vocations.

We thereby appeal to Presidency to give unconditional ascent to the bill when transmitted to aide the Next Level Agenda.

We commend the Corps and her National Commandant Amb Dickson Akoh for their consistency, perseverance and dedication to project Nigeria Thus far despite all the challenges. We equally implore the high racy to be logical and seize any requirement exercise while this process is on to avoid the misconception event of the past.
