The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has taken the decision to suspend Airport Taxi Services at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (NAIA) in Abuja. In light of the lingering factional crisis among the car hire operators, passengers and staff are now encouraged to explore alternative transportation options.
According to a statement released by FAAN’s Director of Public Affairs & Consumer Protection, Abdullahi Yakubu-Funtua, the suspension comes into effect immediately. The ongoing dispute among car hire operators has been negatively impacting airport car hire service operations, leading to the decisive action.
In response to the suspension, FAAN Management advises the public, especially esteemed passengers and airport users, to consider using secure alternative means of transportation or E-hailing services for their travel to and from the airport.
While regretting any inconvenience caused by this necessary measure, FAAN assures that normal Car Hire Services will resume promptly once the differences among the operators are resolved.
