Wike: ‘Mumu Governor’ – Ikwerre LG chairman, Nwanosike insults Fubara [VIDEO]

A potential political crisis is looming in Rivers State as Governor Siminalayi Fubara faces severe criticism from the Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area, Samuel Nwanosike.

The controversial remarks were made in a viral video shared on the council chairman’s official social media handle during an address to supporters at Omerelu Community.

The rift between Governor Fubara and his predecessor, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has been ongoing since 2023, stemming from a power struggle for supremacy within the state.

Nwanosike, a staunch supporter of Wike, accused Governor Fubara of ineptitude, claiming that the governor had not achieved anything for the state since assuming office on May 29, 2023.

In the video, Nwanosike asserted, “Today, Fubara is a foolish Governor, he’s not a ‘mumu’ Governor but a foolish Governor because since he took office in May 29th, he has done nothing for Rivers people.”

The local government chairman dismissed allegations that Wike aimed to dominate Rivers State, insisting that Fubara is naive and lacks an understanding of governance.

Nwanosike pointed to issues such as deteriorating infrastructure, particularly mentioning the Igirita roundabout by Igirita market on Eleka Road, which he described as a “deathtrap.”

He also raised concerns about the prevalence of kidnappings in Rivers State.
