Wizkid, Burna Boy win their first ever Grammys

Iconic Nigerian musicians, Wizkid -Ayodeji Balogun- and Burna Boy -Damini Ogulu- have won their first ever Grammy awards.

Wizkid was nominated for the Best Music Video for his collaboration with American pop Queen, Beyonce, and Blue Ivy on “Brown Skin Girl”.

Announcing the win on Sunday, the recording academy tweeted; “Congrats Best Music Video winner – ‘BROWN SKIN GIRL’ @Beyonce #BlueIvy @wizkidayo ✨ #GRAMMYs

Burna Boy, on the other hand was nominated for his 5th studio album “Twice As Tall” in the Best Global Music Album category.

Announcing the win, the recording academy tweeted; “Congrats Best Global Music Album winner – ‘TWICE AS TALL’ @burnaboy ✨ #GRAMMYs

The news have thrown millions of Nigerians into celebration as they took to the social media to celebrate the Starboy and the African Giant.
