Wolverhampton Wanderers are showing interest in securing Leicester City’s forward Kelechi Iheanacho, as reported by Football Insider.

Wolves are actively seeking to bolster their attacking options before the closure of the current transfer window.

Within their pursuit of potential striker additions, the Premier League side has pinpointed Iheanacho as a viable target in these late stages of the window.

Adding to the intrigue, Crystal Palace, another Premier League club, is also reportedly pursuing the Nigeria international. At 26 years old, Iheanacho’s contract is set to expire in less than a year, allowing him to initiate pre-contract negotiations with foreign clubs come January.

Iheanacho’s performance for Leicester City this season has seen him record one goal and two assists across five appearances. In the previous season, he showcased his prowess by netting eight goals and contributing five assists in 35 league matches for the Foxes, a feat that led to him being honored as the club’s Player of the Season.

Having secured his services in 2017, Leicester City paid Manchester City a sum of £25 million for his acquisition.
