Woman allegedly cuts off husband’s manhood during argument in Ogun

A 28-year-old woman, Yemisi Ogunlana, has been arrested by Ogun State police for allegedly severing her husband’s manhood during a domestic argument.

The incident reportedly occurred in the Oko-Oba area of Ogijo, where Yemisi is accused of using a sharp object to injure her 31-year-old husband, Idowu Adebowale.

According to a statement from the police spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, the husband reported the incident to the Ogijo Division around 5:15 p.m. on the day it occurred.

During interrogation, Yemisi denied the allegations. Odutola detailed the husband’s report, stating, “Idowu Adebowale, from the Oko-Oba area, came to the police station on Monday and claimed that on October 15 at 4:30 a.m., his wife used a sharp object to inflict a severe injury on his manhood during a minor disagreement. He showed officers the injury, which was a significant cut near the tip of his penis.”

Given the severity of the injury and the delay in seeking medical assistance, the husband was given a medical form and advised to go to the hospital.

Odutola confirmed that Yemisi is currently in custody and that the case will be forwarded to the SCID in Abeokuta for further investigation. She also indicated that uncontrolled anger likely contributed to the incident, resulting in domestic violence.
