A physically disabled woman in tears after suspected burglars stole her wheelchair.
The 32-year-old victim who is an Ugandan woman was left stranded after the incident that happened on Tuesday night, March 16.
The victim who is identified as Olivia Nakugudo, is a resident of Namunsi, Afya suburb along Kabogoza Musoke road in Mbale.
She woke up on Wednesday morning to a burglary who went with a dozen of her belongings including her reliable tricycle wheelchair.
She said:
“I have no legs, that wheelchair has been me legs, my children who entirely rely on me will not get food and other necessities any more,”
Nakugudo’s sister-in-law, Zaina Nawaga said due to the theft, she was unable go to her workplace at Kyagalanyi coffee where she gets her daily bread.
Nakugudo describes her missing wheelchair as black in colour with spotted blue handles.
The two are now asking whoever sees this stolen wheelchair to report to the nearby police station or the local news network.
