The Senator representing Benue South Senatorial District, Comrade Abba Moro, felicitates with Teachers across the Senatorial District on World Teachers Day.
October 5 was proclaimed as World Teachers’ Day by UNESCO in 1994 to honour teachers for their accomplishments, efforts, and contribution to society as well as to the lives of their students.
The 2022 Teachers’ Day is themed, “The Transformation Of Education Begins With Teachers”.
Senator Moro, a teacher himself, acknowledges the massive contribution of teachers to nation-building and commends them for the sacrifices they make and the pains they endure to educate our children.
Senator Moro particularly thanks teachers in Benue South for their patience, understanding and determination to educate children in the Senatorial District even in difficult situations. He encourages them to keep up with their good works, stating that they will not go unrewarded.
He says he’s aware of their support for him and promises to continue to do his bit, as their Senator, to create conducive environment for teaching and learning.
He assures them of his continued efforts to construct and equip more classroom blocks, rehabilitate roads for ease of movement and support their Union for enhanced performance.
He wishes them happy Teachers’ Day and a successful celebration.
