The Makurdi Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has apprehended seven individuals suspected of engaging in internet fraud.
In a statement released on Thursday, the anti-graft agency disclosed that the suspects were apprehended at their hideout located in Aliade, situated within the Gwer West Local Government Area of Benue State.
During the operation, authorities recovered several items from the suspects, including eight mobile phones, three iPads, two internet routers, and one international passport.
The EFCC indicated that the suspects will face charges in court as soon as investigations into their activities are concluded.
