Mounir Nasraoui, father of Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal, was rushed to the hospital after being stabbed in a car park on Wednesday evening, according to La Vanguardia.
The incident took place in the Spanish town of Mataró, where an altercation resulted in Nasraoui being stabbed multiple times.
He was left in serious condition and was transported by ambulance to Can Ruti Hospital in Badalona.
Although his injuries were severe, Spanish media reports suggest that Nasraoui is now out of danger but remains hospitalized.
Nasraoui had recently celebrated his 17-year-old son’s victory with Spain at the European Championship.
