African football star Yaya Touré is set to be appointed manager of Tottenham Hotspur’s youth team ahead of the 2022/23 season.
The Manchester City legend has been working with Tottenham’s development team since December, when he earned his coaching badges.
And loud evening standardthe 39-year-old will join the north London club’s coaching staff on a permanent basis.
Yaya Toure recently completed his UEFA license A coaching program and he looks forward to becoming a successful manager.
“What an incredible coaching journey so far. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey with me. That’s another done. More to come. Let’s do this,” he posted on Twitter.
The 2015 Africa Cup of Nations winners has had a glittering football career, winning multiple trophies including the 2009 UEFA Champions League with Barcelona. He is also a three-time Premier League winner with Manchester City.
Toure will join Tottenham legend Jermaine Defoe at the club’s academy.
