Yazid Rafindadi, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, Governing Council of the University of Ilorin, is dead.
Rafindadi died in the early hours of Thursday in the FCT, Abuja , sources reveal.
Recall that barely two weeks ago, Yazid announced at a press conference in Ilorin the appointment of a new Vice-Chancellor, Professor Wahab Egbewole, to take over from the outgoing VC, Professor Abdulkareem Age, whose tenure expired on October 15, 2022.
Sequel to the deveopment, the University is still awaiting official reaction from the institution’s Registrar who is also the Secretary to the Council.
