‘You can leave Man Utd if you want’ – Ten Hag tells Maguire

Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag has made it clear that the final call lies with the England defender. As the new season approaches, Maguire faces a crucial decision on whether to remain at Old Trafford or explore other opportunities.

Last season saw Maguire losing his spot in the starting XI, and to add to the changes, the club recently announced Bruno Fernandes as the new captain, stripping Maguire of the armband. This development has sparked rumors about the player’s potential exit from the club.

West Ham recently made a £20 million offer for the services of the defender, only to see it rejected by Manchester United. Meanwhile, Tottenham has also shown interest in acquiring Maguire’s talents.

However, Erik ten Hag is firm in his stance that the decision ultimately rests with Maguire. The manager emphasizes that at Manchester United, every player must fight for their place in the team and prove their worth through their skills and contributions.

“Exactly,” responded ten Hag when questioned about Maguire’s future. “When you are at Man United, you have to fight for your position and bring your skills to the forefront, proving that you are the best for the team and making significant contributions.”
