Young man addicted to mkpuru mmiri caught while trying to set mum on fire in Abia  (Video)

A young man, believed to be in his 30s, has reportedly set her mother on fire in Nkpa community, Bende Local Government Area of Abia state .
According to a native of the community, David Ogechuwku, the young man was addicted to Crystal Methamphetamine, famously known as Mkpuru mmiri
Ogechuwku narrated thus:
This boy is an addicted consumer of ‘Mkpuru mmiri’.
He beats his family members and destroys things each time he is high on the stuff, recently he told his mom that he will kill her for rituals.
Yesterday, he poured petrol on his mother with matches in his hand but couldn’t light it because the mother smartly pushed the jerrycan and the remaining petrol poured on him so he dropped the matches and used cutlass to chase her until he was caught by the vigilante team.
They had two options of sending him to state CID or flogging him but the same mother begged them to just flog him and warn him.
