‘Your mother failed you’ – Iyabo Ojo blasts Verydarkman

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has fiercely criticized social media personality Martins Vincent Otse, also known as Verydarkman (VDM), calling his mother a failure and blaming his upbringing for his toxic behavior.

In a post shared on her Instagram, Iyabo Ojo suggested that VDM’s upbringing lacked love, care, and stability, which she believes led to his narcissistic and manipulative tendencies. She expressed that VDM’s unresolved anger and emotional pain stem from the failure of his mother to provide a nurturing environment.

The actress went on to claim that VDM’s mother, who depended on her ex-husband, failed to address important issues in her son’s life, including a possible paternity test. Iyabo also accused VDM of tarnishing the reputations of successful individuals to gain attention.

She wrote, “Vincent, I’ve come to understand your behavior, and I must say, it’s very sad. Your upbringing lacked love, care, and stability, which has clearly shaped your toxic, narcissistic personality. Your parents didn’t provide the nurturing you needed, and now you’re dealing with unresolved anger and pain.”

She continued, “Instead of confronting the real cause of your frustration, you’ve chosen to target successful women and men. It’s time to recognize the root of your issues. Listening to your story, you had to survive at a young age by stealing food, and you were nearly lynched for stealing a bicycle. It’s heartbreaking that your mother allowed that to happen—where was she when all of this occurred?”

Iyabo also pointed out the lack of initiative and reliance on her ex-husband that she believes contributed to VDM’s issues. “Mama Vincent, your failure to take charge and your dependence on your ex-husband is concerning. Did you not work before he left? Was your character flawed? Did you ever try to figure out the truth about your son’s thefts or were you enjoying the benefits of it?”

She added that VDM’s projection of his anger onto others, including herself, was misplaced. “Your failure to provide a stable, loving home left your son to the streets. You’re the president of failed mothers, but you projected all of that onto us. Why? It’s wrong.”

Iyabo concluded by addressing VDM’s constant negative remarks about her. “Your obsession with me shows that my name lives rent-free in your head. If it helps you sleep better at night, keep going. But Vincent, free your heart from hate. Forgive your parents, so you can find peace.”
