Youths go on rampage as soldiers allegedly kill one in Imo

The youths of Amafor in Asa Ebenma in Imo State has burnt down a tanker after the members of the Nigerian Army accompanying the illegal oil thieves allegedly killed one person.

The incident which happened on Wednesday infuriated the youths of the village who massively chased the soldiers and burnt down the tanker.

According to an eyewitness who spoke to NewsLeverage, some members of the Nigerian Army always accompanied the illegal oil thieves to their business.

The witness said, ‘the bunker driver was caught by youths of the village.

He called the soldiers who started shooting sporadically and killed one person in the process while two people were injured. The youths started fighting back after discovering one person was killed.

The soldiers ran away. The youths then burnt down the tanker.’
