The Nigerian Agricultural Machinization & Equipment Leasing Company (NAMEL) has urged farmers and investors around the country and beyond to take advantage of it’s Agricultural Equipment Hiring Enterprise (AEHE) in this festive season and the time ahead.
Recall that the Federal Government revealed plans to inject no fewer than 10,000 tractors into the country’s agricultural sector through NAMEL.
The Chief Executive of NAMEL, Dr. Ahmed Adekunle in a message wishing Christians a wonderful Christmas celebration stated that “Agriculture is a business, it is not only about what you eat, it is about the quality and standard of what is being produced.
“It is a value chain that deals with land preparation, development, farming, management, marketing and finance. Precision in farming is a factor that affects productivity increase.” he said.
Dr. Adekunle went further to say that his company who already signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD), Manufacturers of tractor, John Deere, Tractor Owners & Operators Association of Nigeria (TOOAN) and Tractor Owners & Hiring Facilities Association of Nigeria (TOHFAN) on a private sector-driven mechanization programme urged members of the public to take advantage of it’s Public Private Partnership (PPP) initiative to invest in agriculture.
Explaining further, the company’s Head of ICT, miss Onyinye Unachukwu said “We pride ourselves as Mechanization Ecosystem, where all stakeholders get value for their investment.
“Our Services are value chain oriented and managed by team of mechanization experts with several years of combined experience in mechanization project design, implementation and Service provisions.
“Our team brings to bear the best experience and expertise pedigree to expand, consolidate and ensure the Sustainability of the Private Sector Driven Agricultural Mechanizatio Programme through our Public Private Partnership”. She added.
