Zakir Naik’s lecture will go beyond this vicinity – Sagaya

During the 10th Annual Usmanu Danfodiyo week held in Ilorin, Engr. Yusuf Lanre Sagaya, Chairman of the Occasion and Zanna of Ilorin, commended the Governor of Kwara State, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, for creating a conducive atmosphere for the event.

Sagaya expressed his appreciation during a special lecture titled “Paradise, the above of every believer,” delivered by Sheikh Fariq Naik and “the concept of God in major world religions,” delivered by Dr. Zakir Naik. He praised the governor for ensuring that the lecture reaches a global audience.

Prominent dignitaries, including the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar, the Emir of Ilorin, Mai-Martaba Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, and other traditional rulers and titleholders, graced the event. Sagaya expressed his deep honor at being the chairman of the special occasion, acknowledging the historical connection between Ilorin Emirate and Sokoto Caliphate and the personal influence of Ilorin on the Sultan.

He thanked the Emir of Ilorin, the local organizing committee, and Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for their support. The event took place in a hall, even though the guest lecturer, Dr. Zakir Naik, had preferred an open field due to the high turnout at his previous lectures. The decision was made to ensure convenience, security, and livestreaming on social media.
