Ibrahim Daji, a notorious bandit leader, was killed in Kwanar Nasir, located in Gusau Local Government Area of Zamfara State, according to reports. The incident occurred on Sunday when members of a rival faction reportedly took his life, leaving his body at the scene.
Daji was infamous for leading violent attacks along the Kwatarkwashi-Mada road and surrounding areas, with his base of operations in Shangel village, east of Mada town. He was heavily involved in criminal activities and had gained a reputation for purchasing kidnapped victims within Gusau, a practice that expanded his influence over local criminal networks.
He also provided refuge to other criminals, such as Bello Taggoje, at his residence in Shangel village. With a significant number of followers, Daji’s death is viewed as a major breakthrough in the ongoing fight against banditry in Zamfara State, where he played a key role in the network of armed criminals.
