Zamfara Gov, Matawalle gives bandits four days ultimatum to surrender

Zamfara State Governor, Bello Matawalle, has given armed bandits terrorizing the state four days ultimatum to surrender or face severe action.

The governor who stated this on Saturday, via his spokesman, Yusuf Gusau, said he has drawn a new roadmap in his approach to handling the issue of security challenges facing the state.

Matawalle disclosed that the recent suspension of a district head in Shinkafi emirate for conniving with bandits was one of the new measures he has decided to implement.

He vowed that in the next four days, he will overwhelm bandits who are troubling citizens in the state.

The governor stated that he has informed President Muhammadu Buhari and the service chiefs about his new approach to security.

He said the deceptive and unrepentant bandits will be dealt with seriously with the new measures.
