The Executive Governor, Zamfara State H.E Gov. Bello Matawalle has led security agencies in the state for operations at bandits camps and hideouts near Wonaka town in Gusau local government area of the State.
The Governor accompanied by his deputy Barrister Mahadi Aliyu-Gusau, heads of security agencies in the state chase away bandits at their camps during the governor’s unannounced visit to the area on his way to Lilo community for condolence visit over bandits attack in the village which resulted in the killing of 8 persons while 18 others sustained injuries d bandits abandoned their hideouts camp across near by river and took advantage of d bushes and disappeared in order 2 escape from the gun shot of security operatives who were on governor’s motorcade. Despite that, Gov. Matawalle did not feel discourage and move ahead to Lilo village for the condolence visit.
The Governor said , “As Chief security officer of the state, l have to show a good example, I have no option than to lead security agencies for this operation”.
