Loveth Helen Alo has been arraigned before a magistrate court in Enugu State for allegedly making false claims about owning a property while testifying at Evang Ebuka Obi’s Zion Ministry.
IDOMA VOICE gathered that she was arrested on February 1, 2025, by detectives from the Enugu State Police Command’s Legal Section, following a petition accusing her of fraudulently claiming ownership of a five-bedroom duplex at WTC Estate, Enugu.
The suspect had testified at a Zion Prayer Ministry Movement Outreach program in Lagos, claiming that God had blessed her with the house. A viral video showed her making the testimony while images of the property were displayed in the church. In another video, she allegedly stated that she bought the house for ₦200 million.
Upon investigation, she reportedly confessed to fabricating the story.
On Tuesday, she was arraigned before the Enugu North Magisterial District Court on a five-count charge, including obtaining by false pretence, defamation of character, and attempted fraud by trying to sell the property.
She was granted bail, and the case was adjourned to April 9, 2025, for further hearing.
