The Deputy Governor of Ondo State and candidate of the Zenith Labour Party in the Saturday’s governorship election in Ondo State, was walloped in his corridor by his opponent, Rotimi Akeredolu of the APC.
Ajayi, who hailed from Kiribo in Ese Odo LGA, had defected from the APC to PDP and later ZLP.
Ajayi polled 4,760 in his LGA, coming a distance third to Rotimi Akeredolu, the governor and candidate of the APC, who has 13,383.
Jegede of PDP polled 4,680 votes to come second.
