The African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship aspirant in Benue State, Dr. Peter Adejoh, has received the royal blessing of the paramount ruler of the Idoma Nation, HRM Agabaidu Elaigwu Odogbo John Obagaji [Och’Idoma], during a visit to the palace in Otukpo Local Government Area, Benue State.

Adejoh and his team visited the monarch to intimate him about his governorship ambition and to seek his fatherly blessing.

Speaking during the visit, Dr. Adejoh said: “I am your son, and I believe that before we embark on any journey, especially one as important as this, it is only right to inform you and receive your royal blessing. Your wisdom, guidance and prayers are crucial, not just for me, but for the success of this journey on behalf of our people. I pray that your counsel will continue to guide me and that I may serve with integrity, dedication, and honor.”

In response, the monarch praised Adejoh’s ambition and readiness to serve the state:
“Welcome, especially Dr. Adejoh. I have known him for some time, and I can confidently say he is young, energetic and has the qualities needed to lead the state. If not him, then who else? Leadership requires vision, courage and commitment, and I see all these in him. Even the former governor of Kogi State was less than 45 when he assumed office, proving that youth is not a barrier to effective leadership.

“I bless you in all that you seek to achieve. If it is the will of God, your path will be made smooth. Any help or assistance you require, God will go before you to provide.

“He will shield you from trouble, guide your steps, and ensure your health remains strong throughout your campaign. Wherever you go, God will precede you. For honoring your king and your people, God will honor you. Lead with integrity, serve with humility, and the people of Benue State will stand with you.”
