2027: Why Aondoakaa, Ogbenjuwa are Benue’s best bet — Ogebe
Benue State stands at a critical breaking point. A land inherently blessed with boundless human talent and vast, untapped mineral wealth has been reduced to a shadow of its former self. We proudly bear the title “The Food Basket of the Nation,” yet under the current administration, that basket has been violently smashed.
For years, our agricultural comparative advantage has been systematically dismantled by relentless insecurity. Today, hundreds of thousands of our hardworking farmers do not wake up to tend their crops; they wake up in squalid, forgotten Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps. This failing government has completely abandoned them, offering no concrete plans, no political will, and no hope of returning these citizens to their ancestral lands. While our people suffer, the current leadership resorts to empty rhetorics, cowardly excuses, and cosmetic governance. As the security situation deteriorates daily, it is clear that the status quo has no answers—only excuses.
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has heard the cries of the Benue people. We recognise that the core of Benue’s current tragedy is a massive competence gap at the highest level of state leadership. To fix a broken state, you need tested fixers. This is why the PDP has presented a formidable, iron-clad combination designed to reclaim, secure, and prosper Benue State: Chief Michael Kase Aondoakaa, SAN, and Dr. Ogbenjuwa Oyije Ocheakiti.
The Legal Titan and the Security Vanguard :
True leadership requires a sophisticated understanding of power, law, and diplomacy. Chief Michael Kase Aondoakaa, SAN, is an urban, cosmopolitan statesman who has operated at the highest zenith of Nigerian leadership. As the former Attorney General and Minister of Justice of the Federation, his tenure was defined by landmark judicial reforms, institutional discipline, and a strict adherence to constitutional order. He knows how the machinery of the federal government works, and he possesses the legal and political muscle to fight for Benue’s rights, secure our borders, and command national respect. He is not a trainee leader; he is a proven administrator ready from day one.
But law and economic vision cannot thrive without absolute security. To complement this legal titan, the PDP has strategically paired him with Dr. Ogbenjuwa Oyije Ocheakiti—a youthful, energetic, and fiercely pragmatic security expert. Highly trained in Israel and Russia—the world’s most rigorous theatres of counter-terrorism and intelligence—Dr. Ogbenjuwa brings a modern, tech-driven, and ruthless approach to ending banditry and agrarian terrorism. He represents the voice of the youth and the shield of our farmers. He will translate security from an elusive luxury into an immediate reality.
A New Deal for the Benue People :
The Aondoakaa-Ogbenjuwa ticket is not just an alternative; it is the ultimate solution. When these two dynamic leaders take charge at the Benue People’s House in Makurdi, the era of governance by lamentation will be officially over.
Our blueprint will aggressively focus on three non-negotiable pillars:
* Immediate Resettlement: modernizing security strategies to flush out attackers and safely return every single IDP to their ancestral farms.
* Unlocking the Wealth: Moving beyond subsistence farming to agro-industrialization, while aggressively exploring our untapped mineral resources to create thousands of jobs for our youth.
* Accountable Governance: Replacing nepotism and administrative weakness with transparency, legal integrity, and structural development.
Benue State can not survive another term of incompetence, fear, and economic stagnation. The choice before us is clear: continue with a government that folds its hands while the state burns, or elect the PDP’s powerhouse combination of law, security, and economic revival.
The rescue mission is here. Let us reclaim our land, restore our dignity, and secure our future with Aondoakaa and Ogbenjuwa.
