24 hours after coming out openly to insult the entire Idoma nation, Bede Bartholomew, a aide to Senator Gabriel Suswam of Benue State has refused to retract his words.

This development has angered many Idoma natives; off and on social media, who are already for the immediate sack of the aide.

IDOMA VOICE recalls that on Thursday, Bed had during an argument online threw caution to the wind and insulted the entire race, describing them as slaves from Kwararafa Kingdom.

The Senator’s aide had made a post on his Facebook wall asking Governor Samuel Ortom’s staunch critic, Prof Pita Agbese to return home and apply for the job of Benue State University Vice Chancellor.

He wrote, “#MYMADNESS

If Pita Agbese is a prof let him come and apply for the VC of BSU, then we can compare his performance with Ortom.”

In his response, one of his Facebook friends, Wilson Ameh, reacted thus: “He will prefer to manage Ortoms cargo airport.”

Apparently angered by Ameh’s comment, Bede responded by insulting the entire Idoma community, calling them slaves.

His comment provoked Idoma youths who slammed the young man for insulting the entire Idoma nation in quest to get crumbs from the governor’s table.

Sending the first warning to Bede on Friday morning was former NANS president, Gideon Obande, who warned him to swallow his words and tender an unreserved apologia to the Idoma people.

Obande, who is an aide to the governor, gave the young man 24 hours to do so.

However, Bede is still adamant and has refused to do the needful after 24 hours.

His comment, some Idoma believe was fueled by his principal, Suswam, who recently asked the senate to reject an ambassadorial-nominee from Benue South.
