BREAKING: Court sends Naira Marley, Sam Larry to prison
A Magistrate Court in the Yaba area of Lagos State ruled on the remand of Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, and Lagos socialite Balogun Eletu, also known as Sam Larry for 21 days.
The case is central to the controversy surrounding the tragic passing of the late singer, Mohbad.
The Lagos State Police Command had requested the court to remand both individuals, Fashola and Eletu, for 30 days, citing the need to complete their ongoing investigation into the matter.
However, Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun declined the police request and ordered a remand period of 21 days instead.
This decision by the Magistrate reflects a compromise between the police’s request for a longer remand and the magistrate’s discretion.
