Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen have extended their congratulations to Victor Boniface and the Super Eagles following their qualification for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The Super Eagles had already secured their place in the tournament even before their match against Benin Republic, as Libya’s 1-0 win over Rwanda in Kigali confirmed their qualification.
Benin took the lead in the first half through Mohamed Tijani, but Victor Osimhen equalised for Nigeria with less than 10 minutes remaining.
Victor Boniface, who came on in the second half, was also part of the squad.
Leverkusen took to X (formerly Twitter) to post: “Congratulations to @NGSuperEagles and @boniface_jrn on qualifying for #AFCON2025!”
The Super Eagles will be back in action on Monday when they face Rwanda in their final group match.
