Most female artists in Nigeria are being managed by their boyfriends – Rapper Magnito

Popular rapper Mohammed Usman Adamu, known as Magnito, made a bold claim, stating that the majority of successful female artists in Nigeria are being managed by their boyfriends.

According to him, this trend is prevalent in the Nigerian music industry, with female artists opting to keep their romantic relationships private.

The ‘Canada’ crooner spoke in the latest episode of the Terms And Conditions podcast.

Magnito said, “Most of the successful female artists you see, the person managing them is their boyfriend. They might not put it in the public. But most of them… Call any name.”

His claim elicited mixed reactions on social media, with many concurring with him while others berated him for “generalising”.
