FUHSO opens admission Into 2026/2027 Remedial Science Programme

The Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo (FUHSO), has commenced admission into its Remedial Science Programme for the 2026/2027 academic session, inviting suitably qualified candidates seeking to pursue science-based degree programmes at the institution.

According to an admission notice issued by the university, the nine-month intensive programme is designed to prepare candidates for admission into 100-level degree programmes through comprehensive teaching, laboratory practicals and JAMB/UTME coaching.

The university said applicants must possess at least three O’Level credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics, as well as either Biology, Agricultural Science or Geography.

FUHSO stated that the remedial programme provides a pathway to several undergraduate courses, including Medicine and Surgery (MBBS), Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D), Nursing Science, Medical Laboratory Science, Public Health and Epidemiology, Biochemistry, Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, Microbiology, Computer Science, Chemistry, Biological Science, Medical Physics, Biostatistics and Mathematics.

The university explained that successful participants would be considered for admission into degree programmes upon meeting specified conditions, including scoring at least 50 per cent in each remedial subject, maintaining a minimum of 75 per cent attendance during teaching and laboratory sessions, selecting FUHSO as their first-choice institution in JAMB and meeting the approved cut-off mark for their preferred course.

Interested applicants are required to complete their application online through the university’s Remedial Portal and pay a non-refundable application fee of ₦10,000.

The institution announced that the sale of application forms begins on Friday, August 7, 2026, and closes on Saturday, October 31, 2026.
