Jagaban is dead, Nigeria’s House of Reps suspends plenary

A member of the House of Representatives, Olajide Akinremi, has passed away.

Mr. Akinremi, widely known as Jagaban, died on Wednesday, though the cause of his death remains unknown.

He served as the representative for Ibadan North Federal Constituency in Oyo State until his passing.

In keeping with National Assembly tradition, plenary and committee activities will be suspended to allow members to mourn and honor their colleague.
