Many pastors endure rather than enjoy their marriages – Mike Bamiloye
Nigerian clergyman and filmmaker, Mike Bamiloye, has spoken out about the struggles some pastors face in their marriages, revealing that many pastors are enduring rather than enjoying their unions.
In a post on his social media, Bamiloye shared his perspective, claiming that the behavior of some pastors’ wives contributes to marital difficulties. He suggested that many pastors’ wives take advantage of their husbands’ profession to manipulate them.
Bamiloye stated, “Some women believe that a pastor cannot beat them like unbelievers or divorce them at will. They use the man’s calling and ministry to blackmail him. Several pastors are not enjoying their marriage, but enduring it.”
In other news, Mike Bamiloye has confirmed the death of Moses Korede Are, a popular gospel film actor known for his role as Baba Gbenro in the Mount Zion series Abattoir.
Bamiloye took to Facebook on Thursday to announce that Baba Gbenro has passed on and is now resting with his master. He remembered the late actor as a hardworking, humble, and dedicated individual.
Earlier reports had confirmed Are’s death, and Bamiloye shared a touching detail of their last conversation. He revealed that before Are passed away, he was on the phone with him while being taken to the clinic, saying that his illness should not prevent him from attending movie production locations. Bamiloye also emphasized the unpredictable nature of life, noting that Are’s sudden death serves as a reminder that no one knows when their time will come.
